JST Performance Time Attack FOST Stock Turbo Results
Well guys, i guess the question of " is over 300whp possible on the stock turbo on a Focus ST?" has been answered.
These pulls were done in our 2015 Focus ST Time Attack Car. The same car that has already ran a 12.1@112 mph in the 1/4 mile on the stock turbo and the car only weighs 2750lbs with driver.
Mods are:
-Cobb Accessport with a JST Performance Custom Tune
-JST Performance Mishimoto Intercooler kit
-Focus RS Intake with Cobb Filter
-MBRP Catless Downpipe
-3" Dump Tube exhaust
- Turbosmart Wastegate Actuator
- Mountune windage tray and Balance shaft delete
- E35 Ethanol Fuel blend
-Mishimoto Oil catch can
-JST Performance Oil Cooler W/ mishimoto core
- Stock BPV, Stock Charge pipes, no AC, no Torque vectoring.
The car made 306.3 WHP on a full pull ( cars tachometer is calibrated properly so i stopped the pulls a little earlier than i normally would). Made a few tweaks and actually lowered the boost level and the car made 309.6 WHP and 419 WTQ with the altered tune, But the car starved for fuel at around 5500rpms on the 309HP pull so i stopped the pull and didnt make any more pulls because i didnt' have anymore ethanol at the shop. Ive also included a screenshot of the Environmental correction factor of less than .1%, showing that this is as close as possible to being the correct number, no voo-doo here haha.
At a 2500lb dry weight, R compound tires, holding power to redline, and our Custom Fortune Auto 510 coilovers, this thing should be a blast on track for its debut in 3 weeks! We'll also be back at the drag strip for the last event of the year this Sunday and hoping for an 11.99 or better on the stock turbo before we retire the stock turbo!
